Care Assist Services include
Supported living
Supported living is a flexible model that enables individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health needs to live in their own home with personalised support built around them.
At Care Assist, we deliver supported living services across West London and Bedfordshire, working with housing association partners to provide stable, appropriate accommodation alongside structured support packages. Support is tailored to the individual, regularly reviewed, and designed to promote independence, tenancy sustainability, and long-term stability.
We work closely with local authority commissioners, care managers, and community teams to ensure each person receives the right level of support at the right time, including step-down from more restrictive settings where appropriate.
Support to access the community and attend events
We support the individuals we care for to access their local community, attend appointments, and participate in meaningful social and recreational activities.
Our staff work alongside each person to identify opportunities that reflect their interests and goals — whether that includes visiting local amenities, attending day services, pursuing hobbies, or building social connections.
Community involvement is central to our approach. We focus on promoting independence, reducing social isolation, and supporting individuals to build confidence and live fulfilling, active lives within their local community.
Personal care
We provide dignified, respectful support with all aspects of personal care, tailored to the individual needs of the people we support. This includes assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, skincare, and medication management — always delivered in a way that respects personal preferences, privacy, and independence.
Our staff understand that personal care requires trust, sensitivity, and consistency. Support is provided with compassion and professionalism, with a focus on maintaining dignity and encouraging individuals to develop and retain their independence wherever possible.
Access to Healthcare and Advocacy
We take a proactive and coordinated approach to the health of the people we support, facilitating regular appointments, health checks, and access to GP and specialist services.
Where individuals face barriers in understanding or communicating their healthcare needs, our staff provide appropriate support — including the use of communication aids and Makaton — ensuring information is accessible and informed consent is meaningful.
We support advance care planning in partnership with the individual, their family, and relevant health professionals, ensuring that personal preferences and choices are clearly documented and respected.
We advocate strongly for the rights of the people we support, promoting equal access to healthcare and ensuring individuals are supported to make informed decisions about their care at all times.
